Why PetaFold exists
The data field has plenty of tools and very few homes.
There is no shortage of platforms for writing code, hosting notebooks, or taking a course. What's missing is somewhere that treats a data career as a whole — the stories and judgment that aren't in any tutorial, the work that deserves to be shown properly, the community that makes the field navigable.
That gap is widest across the Middle East and North Africa. The region has a large and fast-growing population of analysts, engineers, and scientists, and almost none of the global platforms are built with them in mind — their languages, their markets, their realities. PetaFold begins there, from inside that community rather than at a distance from it, and is built to be just as useful to data people anywhere.
Where it's going

PetaFold begins with a weekly journal — real stories and working tips for data people. That's the foundation. The ambition is a single platform built around four simple ideas:
Honest, practical writing about the work — the stories and lessons the field actually runs on.
A proper place to present data work, so a career has something to point to.
Ways to sharpen judgment and skill, built around real problems rather than abstractions.
A community where data people find each other, the work, and the opportunities.
Each part is being built deliberately, one at a time, and each is meant to make the others more valuable.
